The Lack Of Concern Brings Danger

In the story the "Lottery" by Shirley Jackson is telling a story that starts to seem very happy. A perfect community where everyone knows everyone. In the end of the story Jackson twists it. Talking about a box and how you pick out a piece of paper making every reader think they are picking lottery tickets out. When it gets twisted it turns out that the little paper you pick out is actually the worst thing you could ever imagine if it has a little dot on it. In the end the family that had the paper with a dot on it would lose a family member by everyone in this perfect community by stoning the mother to death. During the Holocaust Hitler had killed millions of Jews just because they didn't have blond hair and blue eyes and thought they were parasites. Which was the master race he wanted to create. Hitler killed millions of people for no reason as did the people in the lottery did as well.
